We give a big thanks to all of our sources mainly Wikipedia!!!

The threshold for inclusion in Modern Wikia is verifiability, not truth—whether readers can check that material added to Modern Wikia has already been published by a reliable source, not whether editors think it is true.

All material in Modern Wikia articles are attributed on a reliable source to show that it is not original research. You do not have to put a footnote in order to show where you got the source because when we get the source from wikipedia or another wikia we show that we give thanks to wikipedia or the wikia. As with other sources we give thanks to them for letting Modern Wikia use the source.

Who do we give thanks to?[]

We give thanks to:

  • The Creator of the Work
  • Newspapers
  • Magazines
  • Organizations
  • Government
  • Military

Self-published sources (online and paper)[]

Anyone can create a website or pay to have a book published, then claim to be an expert in a certain field. For that reason self-published media—including but not limited to books, newsletters, personal websites, open wikis, personal or group blogs, Internet forum postings, and tweets—are largely not acceptable.

Self-published and questionable sources as sources on themselves[]

Self-published or questionable sources may be used as sources of information about themselves, especially in articles about themselves, without the requirement that they be published experts in the field, so long as:

  1. The material is not unduly self-serving;
  2. It does not involve claims about third parties;
  3. It does not involve claims about events not directly related to the subject;
  4. There is no reasonable doubt as to its authenticity;
  5. The article is not based primarily on such sources.
